Wine Tasting on the Creole Queen, Scott Boswell's Avondale Restaurant Hiring and More

MISSISSIPPI RIVER? Wine tastings are cool, but wine tastings on a boat are even cooler. On Sunday, March 18, there will be a tasting of a bunch of West Coast wines aboard the Creole Queen Paddlewheeler. Here's more information. Tickets can also be purchased at Swirl and Cork & Bottle wine shops. [Event Brite]

AVONDALE? Scott Boswell's restaurant at the NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, called Stanley at the Track, is hiring. Does this mean it's close to opening after first being announced in January 2011? [Craigslist]

CITYWIDE? This week, the City Council will vote on an ordinance that would increase the age limit to enter a bar. Bars are currently allowed to admit anyone over 18, though they obviously still can't serve alcohol to anyone under 21. The ordinance would make all bars in the city 21+. [WWL]
