FRERET? To celebrate its third birthday on Sunday, uptown cocktail bar Cure is offering its original menu, which was much less creative than what most people have grown accustomed to from the bar. They're also bringing back some drinks that have been favorites through the years. All cocktails on the anniversary menu will be six bucks. [TP]
METAIRIE? While most of the area was gearing up for Mardi Gras last week, Drago's in Fat City was dealing with the arrest of one of its waiters for stealing customers' credit card information. The restaurant is installing new, handheld credit card machines that waitstaff will just bring to the table, so that customers' credit cards will never leave their sight. [TP]
NEW ORLEANS? The New Orleans-born owner of New York City's Cheeky Sandwiches, Din Yates, arrived in New Orleans on Sunday about three weeks after leaving New York to run, walk and bike here. [TLD]
