There's a new, especially food-a-licious Mardi Gras Krewe this year. Per New Orleans Mag's Tim McNally, it's called the Krewe of Lafcadio after writer and cookbook author Lafcadio Hearn and is "[m]ade up primarily of culinary luminaries like Susan Spicer and John Besh." They start at Galvez Restaurant on Saturday at 2, winding through the Quarter. Their specialty throws are wooden spoons. [MNO]
