The bar that helped spark the Freret street come-back and craft cocktail revolution in New Orleans is a landmark in its own right, and remains many an imbiber's favorite hideaway, despite Eater's Empire Builder of the Year Winner Neal Bodenheimer and Cure Co.'s newest classy additions Bellocq and Perestroika at Pravda. A few Saturdays ago, Cure was all aglow at midnight with candle light reflecting off every surface in the bar and a low key clientele sampling the impeccable drink menu.
