Starting off Eater New Orleans' Drink This Cocktail Now roll call is the French 75's ever-impeccable Chris Hannah making the sexiest Brandy Crusta on the planet. This booziest of 19th Century cocktails? hello, cognac? was invented in New Orleans by bar man Joseph Santini around 1850. Today the drink lives on as one of Chris Hannah's best concoctions... with the sugar-crusted glass and an entire lemon peel garnish adding to the spectacular show. Hannah is also known to add a housemade pumpkin butter to his seasonal take on the drink. One sip is enough to clear away any cobwebs.
