Jeffrey Thomas, the new owner of Jazz Daiquiris, is suing the city for denying them an alcohol permit. A popular second-line stop, Thomas' attorney argues that the alcohol permit should have followed with the sale of the property. But this also happens to be the infamous S. Claiborne club known for crime lord Telly Hankton and crew's killings of Darnell Stewart in 2008 and Curtis Matthews, (the former owner's brother) just last year.
