An upscale Japanese restaurant might be coming to the former Salvatore Ristorante space in Fat City. For about two years, Jefferson Parish has been pushing to remake the former Metairie heavy metal/strip club capital into a thriving area of retail, dining, and condos (ie. Times Square South), and many upstanding businesses? including Salvatore's? have already seen their demise along the way. Apparently the Japanese restaurateur operates several eateries in Baton Rouge. [NOLA.com]
