Expansion Wire?Susan Langenhennig muses on the rapid, Mongol-like expansion of Dat Dog, the little hot dog stand that could. After opening on Freret in 2011, Dat Dog quickly hopped across the street to a bigger location in 2012. Now, with renovations in full swing on a new location (set to open in early 2013) at 336 Magazine St., word has gotten out that Dat Dog is planning a third location, though its address remains stubbornly top secret. Home Cookin'?Three Muses chef and Bronx native Dan Esses is paying homage to his hurricane-ravaged home town with a special menu full of nostalgic New York goodies like "Arthur Ave. Chicken Alfredo" and "Mamaroneck Ave. Pizza." All proceeds from these items will go towards City Harvest, a nonprofit group in New York that is helping feed storm victims. You can drop by every Thursday (so this Thursday and the Thursday after Thanksgiving) this November for a little taste of the Big Apple. [Gambit]

Turkey Day Relief?Members of the Besh Restaurant Group (Domenica, Borgne, and , to be precise) are rolling out robust, multi-course Thanksgiving menus. Maybe you're a masochist who enjoys making an enormous Turkey Day feast, but it's still nice to know that, if all else fails, Domenica has a Heritage Turkey stuff "alla parmigiana" with your name on it.
