Commander's Palace, Friday at Noon

New, 2 comments

Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographer Nikki Mayeux visits some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, Commander's Palace.

Undoubtedly one of the most iconic restaurants in New Orleans, not too mention one of Brett Anderson's Top 10 Restaurants of 2012, Commander's Palace practically wrote the book on turtle soup au sherry, and their martini lunch is the stuff of legend. This past friday, the white linens were neatly folded and the bar fully stocked, and by the looks of those balloons, somebody was having a birthday to remember.
