In more crappy WTF-worthy crime news, an Eater tipster reports that The Joint's iconic sign was literally ripped off the building last night. The Joint's owners, Pete and Jenny Breen, were out front assessing the damage this afternoon, when Eater stopped by to take some pictures. "The sign is probably from the 1920's," Jenny Breen said. Both agreed it would've been an arduous task for anyone wanting to remove the sign.
They also took the news to Facebook: "So, in a brand new low...someone climbed up on our roof last night and STOLE the Joint sign...yup. Unbelievable. They ripped it right off the awning. So, if you see it...tar and feather that person and we'll cook em up good on the smoker. Oh, and please try to get our sign back. It is old and original to the previous businesses that were in this building. What kind of disrespecting person does that?!?! PLEASE EVERYONE KEEP A LOOK OUT." Know anything about the sign, or got some hot news? Tipping your Eater is always appreciated.
