Growing Local

New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is partnering with the Recirculating Farms Coalition (Hydroponics, y'all) and the New Orleans Food and Farm Network to create an urban food and farming center on 2.5 acres of land near Melpomene and Tchoup. The new center, Growing Local NOLA, will be built with grants from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation and the Claneil Foundation, and will focus on improving fresh food access/education for the community, among other things.
