Superior Seafood Almost Ready to Finally Open

-ENOLA-

Almost 3 years after announcing its plans to open in the former Copeland's location next door to Fat Harry's, Superior Seafood is just about set to actually do so. Drive by and see for yourself: for the first time in what feels like forever, there isn't actually any construction going on there. Word is that the only work left to be done is on the oyster bar. The restaurant should open some time next week.

Superior Seafood is, of course, owned by the same people as the local-ish Mexican chain, Superior Grill. Superior's takeover of the location that once houses the uptown flagship Copeland's was first announced in 2009, before getting slowed by construction and legal roadblocks. It was eventually scheduled to open last spring.

The restaurant's Facebook page claims it's a "Parisian-inspired bistro," while the menu (they have it posted outside) is huge, with a combination of regular café fare (sandwiches, salads, etc) and Louisiana staples. With a whole lot seafood, obviously. [EaterWire]
