Phil Vettel, food critic at the Chicago Tribuine, clearly is a fan of New Orleans, writing a guide to our fair city in that paper's travel section. While he calls it a "snapshot of my most recent trip," it's really just a rather brief guide to eating "indulgently," as he puts it. As such, it's pretty heavy on the fine dining.
The handful of restaurants Vettel recommends to the Tribune readers is pretty standard (for , with the possible exception of The Rib Room, at which he and his wife dined mostly because they "arrived late and the place was nearby with available tables." Here's his recommendations:
· The Rib Room
· Cochon
· Herbsaint
· August
· K-Paul's
So, yeah. Hopefully whoever follows his itinerary on a visit here is able to put all that on an expense account (like he probably did). Because that's definitely not a cheap trip.
