LASpiritsQL.jpgLouisiana grows sugar, and growing sugar leads to making rum, so naturally it makes sense to make rum in Louisiana. To that end, Todd Price reports that Louisiana Spirits is building a rum distillery "near the sugar cane fields of Lacassine, La," in Jeff Davis Parish. Details about the actual line are scarce, but they do plan "to offer a range of rums, including one made each fall from the fresh sugar cane crush." [TP]
