In something of a twist, Al Copeland, Jr., fast food scion and chairman of Al Copeland Investments, has joined the board of the Lafayette- and Houma-based Copeland’s of New Orleans Restaurant Franchise Group. The group had originally franchised Copeland's name in an effort to "bring authentic New Orleans flavor to Houma and Lafayette" through novel culinary practices like using fresh vegetables and "stock-based sauces."
