Hurricane season ended officially on November 30th, and you know what? We kicked its ass. So why not celebrate? Tonight from 8-11 at Eiffel Society is the 3rd Annual Bye Bye Hurricane Season Party hosted by Evacuteer.org. There'll be music by Glen David Andrews, among others, and yeah, they'll be handing out hurricanes from Pat O'Brien's. Wink wink.
Tickets are $20, available at the door or online here. All proceeds go to support Evacuteer, a non-profit that trains and organizes volunteers to help the 25-30,000 New Orleanians who don't have access to transportation get out of the city in case of a mandatory evacuation. It's a pretty awesome group.
After the jump, a video of Glen David Andrews himself playing "I'll Fly Away." Why? Because it's Friday and he's awesome, so why not?
