Huey's 24/7 is Now Open Inside Jax Brewery

Huey's 24/7 opened recently in Jax Brewery across the street from Jackson Square, right next door to the terrible hell-hole nightclub Jax. Its proximity to that bastion of greased hair and tastefulness means it'll probably never be in need of customers late at night. (It is, as the name implies, open 24 hours a day).

Huey's 24/7 existed briefly in the CBD before Katrina and announced plans to return in mid-September. While locals weren't exactly wild about it the first time around, the foot traffic, tourists and drunk dudes in the Quarter should provide a steady customer base for its blend of "diner fare (burgers, meatloaf and 'a chicken in every pot pie'), breakfast all day and New Orleans standards." The same group is also opening a concept geared towards CBD workers called Press It Bistrot & Automat, which should open sometime next year.
