Wine with Local Roots at Swirl, LSU Watch Party, More

FAUBOURG ST JOHN? Local wine shop Swirl is playing host to a tasting on Thursday, December 1, of a Moises Wine release with local roots. Moises Vineyard & Wines is located in the Willamette Valley in Oregon; in 2002, 10 local folks went up to help plant 10,000 vines. The wine from that endeavor is called Moises Mes Amis Pinot Noir and is finally ready. The tasting is from 6:30-8 and is free and open to the public. [EaterWire]

CBD? If you're a fan of that little thing called SEC football, and in particular those LSU Tigers, then it's worth noting that there will be a watch party for the SEC Championship Game at Champions Square this Saturday. Admission is free. [WWL]

CANAL STREET? Some might say December 3 is still too early for a Christmas parade, but at least this one's happening after Thanksgiving. The Krewe of Jingle "kicks off" the holiday season with a parade that combines Christmas parade staples (Santa, marching bands) with New Orleans whimsy (The Rolling Elvi, Brian Batt). This Saturday, parade rolls at 1:00PM from Canal and Elk Place, heading towards the river. [Go NOLA]
