Blues on Magazine, Chefs Tailgate and Gleason Gras

UPTOWN? Tomorrow is the 3rd annual Magazine Street Blues Festival at the corner of Magazine Street and Napoleon Avenue. Acts include Brass-a-holics, Rockin' Dopsie & the Zydeco Twisters and the Chicago-based Nick Moss & the Flip Tops. Entry is free, with food for sale from a whole bunch of food trucks. Here's the official site. [EaterWire]

FRENCH QUARTER? On Sunday, the 200 block of Royal Street is playing host to a mega-chef tailgate, with 5 chefs firing up Big Green Eggs to do some serious grilling and chilling. It starts at 9 and will last through the Saints game (which presumably they'll be showing somehow?) $20 gets you five food/drink tickets, and all proceeds go to Operation Homefront Louisiana. CHAMPIONS SQUARE? And for yet more in this charitable eats wire, tickets for Gleason Gras go on sale today at 6. Gleason Gras is a benefit festival being held November 27 for former Saints player Steve Gleason, recently diagnosed with ALS, and his ALS charity, Team Gleason. They haven't announced the food lineup, but the music one includes many big local acts including Theresa Andersson, MyNameIsJohnMichael and Better Than Ezra. Also: Kyle Turley. Here's the official site. [ESPN.com]
