Christmas Creep Officially Launches Today, Get Excited!

WTF?? This was the French Quarter Fest's tweet this afternoon, complete with seasonally appropriate "Christmas New Orleans Style" twitter wallpaper. This is classic Christmas creep, and while FQ Fest's Christmas shenanigans don't launch until October 17 (only 10 weeks before Christmas Day!) the use of that god-awful wallpaper marks the official launch of avoid-retail-until-December season.

Also, what happened to October in New Orleans being a wonderful time of year on its own merits?
