It might be surprising that the Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival featured some love for New Orleans, but that's exactly what happened, with LA public TV station proclaiming Rick Tramonto's short rib po' boys to be the "best item on bread." Tramonto, a partner with John Folse at Restaurant R'Evolution, "brought a Louisiana favorite to Los Angeles, and updated it with tender short rib and a truffle coleslaw." [KCET]
