In his weekly Happy Hour column for New Orleans Magazine, Tim McNally asks (gasp!), "Is the New Orleans cocktail scene broken?" Further: "When it comes to the cocktails that come out of from our creative and development sessions, are we really proud of how they taste and how they are crafted, or are our cocktail folks just happy that something palatable came out of the mix?" Which seems a little unfair, given the delicious, crafted cocktails from places like Cure, Twelve Mile Limit, and Bar Tonique.
