Chef James Cullen will be leaving Tulane Avenue cocktail and small plates hub Treo on January 3, Todd Price reports, to pursue his own concept. While there are no "concrete plans" for Cullen's venture, he plans to use beloved restaurant of yore Uglesich's as an inspiration: Counter service, an open kitchen and an 'old-school chef' style will all play a part. Until then, Cullen is planning to roll out a fried chicken pop up (inspired by Creole chef Austin Leslie) in the new year.
